‘WoW’ going to Hollywood

Yup, you heard it right. The MMORPG "World of Warcraft" is going to the big screen.

On Tuesday, Blizzard Entertainment, a leading game developer, hopes to reverse that trend as it plans to announce a deal with Legendary Pictures, a major Warner Bros. affiliate, to make a big-budget "Lord of the Rings"-style live-action film based on Blizzard's wildly popular Warcraft series.

With more than 6 million players world wide, the movie should draw tons of fans to the box office. Hopefully it won't suck like the "Dungeons and Dragons" movies. BTW, I do play the game and finally hit Lev 60 last night. "For the Horde!"

So everyone loves YouTube, and so do I. But did you guys know that there are other similar video services out there. One of my favorites is VMix. They are similar to YouTube, but they have creation tools to help create your own slide shows and monthly video contests. Videos can be tagged and searched for. Plus since the site is not as big as YouTube yet, it’s much faster.

This site is definitely worth checking out.

Free Gatchaman Episode

The free episode we're serving up is the first episode of the three-episode Gatchaman miniseries. The episode can be played in iTunes or can be uploaded into your Video iPod where you can watch it on the go. The entire episode is 48 minutes and weighs in at about 218 MB, so it's kind of a hefty download unless you have high speed internet.

Apple: Windows on a Mac is here

Apple Computer said on Wednesday that it has released a public beta version of Boot Camp, software that enables Microsoft Windows XP to run natively on Intel-based Macs.The software, which will be included in Mac OS X 10.5, called Leopard, is available for download now. Apple will also preview Boot Camp in August at its Worldwide Developers Conference, the company said.

MacBook Pros shipping with faster CPU’s

AppleInsider is reporting that the new Apple MacBook Pros are shipping with faster processors.  The $1999 version has been bumped up to a 1.83Ghz Intel Core Duo from 1.67Ghz and the $2499 MacBook Pro is shipping with a 2.0Ghz Core Duo from 1.83Ghz.

Thats awesome news for everyone who pre-ordered the laptop.
